Cohoba is a psychoactive snuff prepared by indigenous peoples of the Caribbean and northern South America from the DMT-bearing seeds of Anadenanthera peregrina. Its use was recorded by Spanish chroniclers at the end of the 15th century, which makes it one of the earliest documented psychoactive preparations of the Americas. It is closely related to the snuff yopo.
